More reactions have continued to trail the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 presidential election.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a Muslim and the party’s presidential candidate last Sunday, July 10, 2022, announced former governor of Borno State, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, who is also a Muslim as his running mate sparking wide condemnation across the country.

The National Legal Adviser of the APC, Daniel Bwala, was the first hours later on Sunday to resign his membership of the party in a swift reaction to the Muslim-Muslim.

“Our diversity has been challenged, and we must react appropriately. Let us criticize willful indifference and vote in recognition of the elements of national unity and nation-building. We cannot allow desperate people in the APC to fool us to formalize dominion and unipolarity.

“The ruling party is insincere and we are right to conclude so. They have proven to be exploiters and unfit self-seekers. They have failed fundamentally and are confirmed to be insensitive to nation-building, sustainable economy, and socioeconomic/ethnoreligious relationships.”
