Come Monday, May 29, 2023, the outgoing governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will complete his two tenures of eight years.
As Okowa bows out of office he has to his credit for producing his preferred successor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, from Okpe Local Government Area in Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State.
This is in keeping with his promise to sustain the unwritten power rotation arrangement within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, since 1999 in the state.
In the video below, Okowa in an interview with some journalists sometime in 2014 before he emerged as the governorship candidate of the PDP for the 2015 general elections, gave an insight into his plans for Delta State if he emerges as governor.
