The leadership and members of Urhobo National Youth Movement, UNYM, have congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his successful swearing as the 5th Executive Governor of the state.
President of UNYM, Chief Gbenga James Awomakpa in a congratulatory message on behalf of the group described the emergence of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as governor of Delta State as divine and commended Deltans for further demonstrating their love for him by attending the inauguration ceremony massively.
Chief Awomakpa assured that Governor Oborevwori will sustain the legacies of Governor Okowa and initiate projects that have a direct bearing on the lives of Deltans.
“The administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will usher into the state’s great fortunes. Deltans irrespective of political affiliation should rally round the Governor and support him in his quest to ensure even distribution of infrastructural development to all parts of the state through his MORE Agenda and Advancing Delta mantra.
“Urhobo National Youth Movement wants to particularly thank Deltans for believing in the candidature of Rt. Hon Sheriff Oberovwori and standing solidly behind him before, during, and after the 2023 general elections.
“I can confidently say that Delta State is in safe hands and Deltans will not regret their support for Governor Oborevwori.
“Rt Hon Oborevwori as the longest serving Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly will bring his wealth of experience to bear in the governance of the state by adding value to the lives of Deltans through people oriented policies and projects,” said Chief Awomakpa.
The UNYM President expressed members’ optimism about Oborebwori’s ability to deliver his M.O.R.E Agenda to better the lives of all Deltans based on his pedigree and capability.
He prayed for God’s wisdom, guidance, and protection and good health for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and sued for maximum support and prayers from Deltans for him.
He equally thank former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for standing solidly behind Governor Sheriff Oborevwori from the beginning to the end.
Members of the Urhobo National Youth Movement also hailed the appointment of Chief John Nani on his appointment and swearing as chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
The group described the appointment as deserving and express ability in the capacity of Olorogun John Nani to use his position as DESOPADEC chairman to better the lots of those from oil bearing communities of the state.
They, however, promised their readiness to give the needed support to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and chief John Nani to succeed in their new assignment.
