The immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Prince Sam Ughujowhovwo has said that God has further demonstrated that His hands are upon Governor Ifeanyi Okowa with his emergence as the running mate to the party’s Presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.
Ughujowhovwo, who is fondly known as CBN in a congratulatory message to Okowa shortly after he was unveiled on Friday afternoon by Atiku, praised him for putting his trust in God, who made it possible in spite of the hurdles orchestrated by his political detractors.
The former Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters noted that the PDP National Working Committee ably led by the National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu and other levels of the party made the right in the person of Governor Okowa, who has a track record of delivering on anything he set out to achieve.
He described the joint of Atiku and Okowa as a perfect combination that will work in favour of the PDP in the 2023 presidential election.
“Governor Okowa has continued to demonstrate competence and capacity in his handling of the affairs of Delta State and the PDP, especially at the national level. He truly merits and deserves to be Atiku’s running mate,” said Ughujowhovwo.
Ughujowhovwo also congratulated the PDP governorship candidate in Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, who the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory dismissed four cases filed against him on his eligibility to contest the governorship election scheduled for March 2023.
He noted that Oborevwori emerged as a PDP governorship candidate under a very transparent and credible process provided by Governor Okowa adding the excellent pedigree and wide acceptance of Oborevwori across the state will make it easy for PDP to win the election in 2023.
Ughujowhovwo assured Okowa and Oborevwori that they can continue to count on the support of the people of Udu council area considering the positive impact of the present administration in the area.
