A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Prince Collins Eselemo has said that three-quarters of Ijaw extraction in the state are against the Alaowei Broderick Bozimo lobby group for an Ijaw governor in the state in 2023.
Eselemo said this when he featured in a Quest Television live programme, FACE THE PHASE on the topic, “2023: Zoning And The Ijaw’s Quest To Rul Delta” anchored by Ruth Alabo.
The outspoken and fearless Ijaw youth leader, who was the candidate for Bomadi/Patani federal constituency in the House of Representatives in the last general elections said, “What we are saying is fair, is fair. The Urhobos should have it so that we don’t fall victim to what has happened to Uduaghan.
“And I have advised that Okowa should read between the lines and be well informed of the PDP political antecedent and give it to the Urhobos. We don’t need it now, we really don’t need it now.
“Three-quarters of Ijaws do not like the movement of Bozimo. It will certainly affect us should we lose. We won’t come back to say that we want to be governor. It should go along senatorial line, not tribe. Ibori has been nice to the Ijaw people, let us reciprocate.”
Eselemo carpeted the former Minister of Police Affairs under the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo on his concept of the Principle of Reciprocity saying “Chief Bozimo and his team are children of Ijaw of the PDP extraction. Prince Collins Aselemo and his children of Ijaw nation of the APC extraction.
“We are saying fair is fair. It should go to the Urhobos. They (Bozimo) are saying it must be Ijaw.”
