Come Monday, May 29, 2023, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa will hand over to the administration of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori with a big sense of fulfillment and with his head high up for the unprecedented achievements of his government in the last eight years.

More instructive is the fact that Governor Okowa despite the political intrigues, conspiracies, blackmails and gang ups was able to weather the storms and ensure the emergence of a God-fearing, sincere and hardworking successor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

He will in less than a week pass the baton governance of Delta State to Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, who is committed and passionate about consolidating and sustaining the development of the state with his M.O.R.E Agenda.

Going back to 2015 when Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa became the 4th Executive Governor of Delta State, I will say that the difference is now very clear in the advancements that have been recorded in every sector of the state.

Your Excellency, I rejoice with you on your giant strides as governor of Delta State and congratulate you on your impactful and result-oriented eight years in office.

As you bow out from office on May 29, 2023, Deltans will continue to remember and appreciate your immeasurable contributions to advancing the development of Delta State.

Thank you your Excellency for identifying me and finding me to serve in your administration as Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters. I am immensely grateful to you for the confidence you reposed in me.

The people of Evwreni Kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area are full of gratitude to you for appointing me their son to your administration.

Working with you was that of a father-and-son relationship. I saw in you a man so passionate about the peace and development of his people.

For your Pan-Deltan disposition and commitment to ensuring even development of the state, Deltans reciprocated by voting massively for the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18, 2023, governorship election for the sustainability of your legacy.

No doubt, come Monday, May 29 you will bow out as governor and a happy man. You did your best for Delta State and Deltans with your footprints dotting every nook and cranny of the state.

Once again, congratulations, Ekwueme of the Universe!
