As Deltans await judgement from the Supreme Court in the ongoing legal tussle between the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, and the Appellants; Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Kenneth Gbagi of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, and Mr Ken Pela of the Labour Party, LP, Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Non-Indigenes Affairs, Nze Francis Onuora has assured that Deltans would celebrate the Oborevwori’s victory because his mandate is divinely orchestrated.
The Governor’s aide added that the overwhelming victory of Oborevwori at the 2023 gubernatorial polls where he secured victories in 21 out of 25 Local Government Areas of the state was a clear indication that the people of Delta State wholeheartedly are satisfied with the Governor’s prowess having successfully served as Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly.
While urging residents of the state to keep faith, Nze Onuora emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s victory at the Supreme Court is sacrosanct as the Governor would govern the state for two terms.
He advised PDP faithful and the good people of Delta State to disregard publications and rumours making the rounds that judgment had been scheduled for today Friday, January 12 insisting that whenever the Supreme Court decides to deliver its judgement it would be in favour of Governor Oborevwori.
Nze Onuora stated that in no distant time Delta State would flourish as Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had already mapped out plans to take the entire state to greater heights.
