Coalition of Intelligentsia for Rule of Law and Justice, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP-CIRJ, has rejoiced with the peoples governor of Edo State, His Excellency Godwin Obaseki and capacity deputy governor, Rt Hon Philip Shiabu, as well as the PDP political family in Nigeria, over last Saturday’s election victory, saying the people of Edo State spoke with one voice.

The goodwill message signed by the Coalition’s Convener and Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, said Obaseki’s victory was an act of God backed by the forces of heaven which moved men and women of diverse capacities into action to actualise divine purpose of God for the good people of Edo State.

PDP-CIRJ noted that the synergy and bond of unity among PDP governors towards Edo election was unprecedented and must of a necessity be sustained and improved upon in subsequent elections, adding that the national chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus and PDP governors should now shift focus to Ondo governorship election to ensure another sweet victory in October.

The coalition commended the dogged chairman of PDP National Campaign Council for Edo election and performing governor of Rivers State, Barrister Weysom Wike, as well as the Chairman of South-South Governor’s Forum, SSGF, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for their visionary leadership, hard work and for deploying their wealth of experience in electioneering strategies to boost the party’s overwhelming victory in Edo State.

“We are proud of PDP governors in this dispensation, for their commitments, synergy and round the clock strategies that finally crashed the Adams Oshiomole, Capt Hosa Okubo and Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s unholy political gangsterism against the people of Edo State.

“We are happy that the South-South Geopolitical Zone is now PDP and we rejoice with our great party and the Chairman of SSGF, and the Platinum Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

“HE Okowa practically relocated to Edo State with his team of strategists to join efforts with Governors Obaseki, Weysome Wike, Seyi Makinde and others to perfect the end of the political lions and tigers in Edo State.

“More importantly, we thank and rejoice with the bold and victorious Edo people and urge them to continue to support and work with Governor Obaseki, to Make Edo Great Again,” PDP-CIRJ said.
