It was another time of affirmation of total support for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at all levels, when Dr Paul Oweh gathered hundreds of party faithful in his country home in Emevor, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Dr Oweh, the leader of the party in Emevor who had convened a meeting of critical stakeholders drawn from all the units of the ward urged the attendees to remain steadfast and focused on delivering on the PDP 5 over 5 mandate, noting that no other party was as close to the people as the PDP.
He reminded the mammoth crowd of the many dividends the community had received from the governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration including the ongoing construction of the 4km Emevor-Orogun road which was occasioned by their massive support for the party in the past and enjoined them to show even greater support this time around.
Dr Oweh who is the commissioner representing Isoko at the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, DESOPADEC, also inaugurated some selected members of the party as unit votes canvassers with the charge to go persuade registered voters around them to vote for PDP at all levels.
“We now charge you to take the message of 5 over 5 to your world, a message of hope and reassurance, a message for more development in the town and a message of stronger representation of Emevor are all levels”, he added.
Responding on behalf of the newly inaugurated canvassers, Hon. Ogbaviro Emamode noted that Dr Oweh had shown unequalled and immense capacity as the leader of the party in Emevor which has manifested in the development of critical infrastructure such as the Emevor bypass road, Emevor-Orogun road and many others by the state government in the town and the only way to repay the gesture is to carry out their assignment dutifully and massively mobilize votes for the party.
Among the attendees were well respected chiefs, clergy, men, women and youths from all walks of life.
