The national leader of Hivoltage Movement and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Jaro Egbo has called on Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to “swallow his legendary pride and ego, accept defeat and congratulate Governor-Elect, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori,” describing Agege as the “defeated Governorship candidate of the APC in Delta State”.
Egbo, added that the APC guber candidate must not embark “on a fruitless legal battle as the people of Delta have spoken and chosen their leader”.
He made the remark while conducting journalists round his new country home Campmoses Vineyard, Abovwe, Ughelli that was vandalized by opposition thugs who came to steal electoral materials but were resisted by the eagle-eyed security men after abandoning their operational vehicles.
Speaking further, he thanked God for sparing his life after escaping abduction and kidnapping and “thugs sent to liquidate him by a defeated Governorship candidate who was hell bent on rigging and forcing his way to Government House Asaba”.
He further commended Governor Okowa, Uduaghan and Chief Great Ogboru for placing the interest of the state above personal ego.
While congratulating the Governor-Elect, Rt. Hon Oborevwori for his well deserved victory, he called on all Deltans to rally round the new government of PDP to deliver the needed dividend of democracy.
