Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed appreciation to Church leaders for their prayers, leading to his survival of 38 court cases from pre-election to post-election cases to the Supreme Court.

Governor Oborevwori stated this on Saturday at the wedding ceremony of Mr and Mrs Ovoke Akpobasa held at Light of Christ Ministry, Sapele.

He described the groom as a son to him and congratulated him and his wife on their successful marriage ceremony.

Chief Obiuwevbi expressed joy at the presence of the Governor at the event and said, “This is the first time I am seeing a Governor that is so grassrooted, and attending ceremonies.

“I am therefore led by God Almighty to pray for the Governor, Your Excellency,  by the authority of the Lord you serve, it shall be well with you, receive mercy, receive more opportunities and grace, the Lord will be gracious to you.”

He commended the newlyweds for being obedient to their parents, saying coming together as a couple is a thing of joy to their parents and honouring parents is a biblical injunction.
