Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has apologised for his inability to meet with the traditional rulers of Delta Central Senatorial District when he campaigned to the state on Monday.
Obi who was in Asaba, the capital of Delta assured of the completion of East/West Road stressing that the challenges plaguing the nation Nigeria are beyond religion, region or tribe.
He was however unable to meet up with other engagements while in the state prompting him to apologise on Tuesday morning.
Through his Twitter handle @PeterObi, he wrote below:
“I sincerely want to apologise to the Traditional Rulers and the people of Delta Central, who gathered at Olomu, the people of Isoko who I was supposed to meet at Oleh and the people of Agbor who came out in their numbers to welcome me to their domains.
“However, it became impossible to carry out the visits following the mammoth crowd. I apologise and promise to repeat the visits.”
