The Chairman, Kome Support Group, Engr. Kome Okpobor has congratulated the governor-elect of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his triumph at the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state.
Kome who is also an Executive Assistant on Petroleum Monitoring to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa stated in a letter he personally signed that Oborevwori’s victory is an affirmation of the grace of God upon his life, the immeasurable love God for the state and massive love and belief of the people for his person.
He also thanked Governor Okowa for firmly standing on the side of the people at a time when some had deserted the party for their inordinate ambitions and desires and were mindless enough to betray the trust of the governor and the people they represent for a morsel of porridge.
Kome in the statement said, “Your Excellency, Rt. Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor-elect of Delta State. I heartily congratulate you on your recent triumph in the polls. This victory is beyond politics but a testament to the grace of God upon your life, the immeasurable love of God towards our dear state and the immense love and trust of Deltans in your personality.
“This I say without equivocation, considering the several hurdles and landmines which were deliberately orchestrated for your setback but we are all witnesses to how God Himself gave you wings to fly past all such obstacles.
“As for me, nothing concerning the grace of God upon your life, your large heart for all plus your political dexterity is new because they were all evident from the beginning when I decided to not just support your ambition before anyone else in Isoko but also declare my undiluted loyalty to your tutelage.
“I am also particularly elated because I know the plans you have for our dear state and trust your ability to fulfil every element of the MORE AGENDA.
“As for His Excellency, Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the most convenient thing for him to have done was to stand on the side of a minute few against the wish of the generality of Deltans, but he chose the inconvenient and unconventional path of justice, equity, and fairness in standing by the party at a time when many had deserted to pursue their inordinate ambitions and desires, despising the sacrosanct nature of trust and friendship.”
