In a bold move to strengthen party unity and galvanize support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s development strides, the chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Movudu Egbo, on Thursday convened a high-level strategic meeting of the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the council area.
The meeting held at Olorogun Egbo’s Camp Moses Vineyard residence in Abovwe-Uduere Community brought together Ughelli North PDP chairman, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, along with all 20 DESIEC Ward chairmen, party executives and key political stakeholders.
Discussions focused on reinforcing the party’s internal cohesion and aligning local governance with the governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda—a blueprint driving infrastructural, social, and economic transformation across Delta State.
Egbo, a seasoned legal practitioner, hailed the visible achievements of the Oborevwori administration and called on party leaders to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections. “The M.O.R.E Agenda is not just a promise—it’s a proven pathway to progress. Our collective unity is key to sustaining these gains,” he affirmed.
He further highlighted landmark projects initiated under his watch, reinforcing the need for synergy between local governance and state-level reforms to deliver lasting impact to Ughelli North communities.
PDP Chairman Ofomukoro assured unwavering loyalty to both Egbo’s leadership and the governor’s vision, declaring the party’s readiness to “stand as one formidable force in 2027 and beyond.”
A unanimous vote of confidence was passed on the current administration, with stakeholders affirming their dedication to the party’s growth and the governor’s reelection ambition.
The meeting drew a robust turnout of political heavyweights, council members, departmental heads, and appointees—signalling a unified front committed to deepening development and political dominance across Delta State.
