The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has complied with the judgement of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State, which recently declared Olorogun Taleb Tebite as the duly elected candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.

Tebite’s name as published in the INEC portal is among the just-released amended list of candidates by the electoral umpire in compliance with recent valid court orders across Nigeria.

NewsNet Nigeria correspondent monitoring political developments in the Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency as they unfold ahead of the 2023 polls reports that the camp of Tebite has fired up by the INEC update on its portal.

Political pundits keeping keen watch of the unfolding scenario in the constituency predict Olorogun Taleb Tebite, to defeat the incumbent member representing the federal constituency in the Green Chamber, who is in the main opposition party in Delta State and hails from the same Ughelli South Local Government Area with Tebite.

A dependable source who happens to be a political gladiator from the constituency but does not want his name mentioned in print told NewsNet Nigeria that Tebite is generally loved and preferred by majority of the constituents to lead them in the House of Representatives come 2023.

Recall that Tebite, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly won the PDP primary for Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency which was held on May 22, 2022.

He won the party’s primary with 34 votes to defeat his closet charger, Hon Solomon Ahwinahwi.
