Otunba Nick Ovuakporie, the immediate past State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State and current Executive Assistant (Political) to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has rejoined the APC.
In a statement sent to newsmen, Ovuakporie stressed that his decision followed “deep reflection and his unwavering loyalty to the Governor in compliance with the unanimous decision of the State leadership to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I have made the decision to formally rejoin the APC, of which I am a founding member and Immediate Past State Secretary, as a show of my unflinching loyalty to Mr. Governor, whom he christened a ‘Development Czar’.

“Politics is about absolute loyalty, and today’s event is a demonstration of my unwavering loyalty to my Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F.O. Oborevwor, whose More Agenda Administration is about service, solutions, and results.
He stated this during his Oyede Ward 09 enlarged APC meeting and welcome ceremony held at Oyede on Saturday, May 17, 2025, where he declared that there is no vacancy at the Government House, Asaba and Aso Rock, Abuja in 2027.
The erstwhile APC party scribe described his return to the APC as a “homecoming,” and expressed renewed confidence in the APC’s leadership both at the State and Federal level, describing the Party as “a more viable platform that will bring Renewed Hope for More Deltans in line with the Governor’s More Agenda Policies.”
