Three chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State who few days ago defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, have become very visible in the campaign trail of the state APC governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

The former PDP chieftains were the former speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, a former commissioner on the board of DESOPADEC, Olorogun Pius Ovbije a.k.a POC and the immediate past Executive Assistant (Technical Education) also the chairman of the Technical Board, Comrade Michael Akpobire,

They were part of the campaign trail of Ovie Omo-Agege Monday at Ofagbe in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Igbuya during the campaign described the outing governor of Delta state as a deceiver adding that his prosperity for all Deltans mantra is a crafty way of deceiving Deltans whereas it was meant for his immediate families alone.

For his part, Akpobire described Ovie Omo-Agege as the biblical David who defeated king Goliath saying he (Omo-Agege) as the David that will pull down PDP in Delta State.

He said, “In 2015 PDP boasted that APC can not win the presidency but to the surprise of the PDP the election was won by APC.

“The instruments and strategies used by PDP to win elections in Delta State has be destroyed by Ovie Omo-Agege we can not rig elections anymore in Delta State.

“Isoko has been cheated for 24 years, Ijaw and Itsekiri have been producing the commissioners, and deputy governors and nothing was given to the Isoko nation, this is our time to change the narratives to tear PDP cards and vote for APC”.

Earlier, the Deputy Senate President and Delta APC governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, said there will be a tsunami in Delta State People Democratic Party (PDP) in days to come.

Omo-Agege who stormed Ofagbe with hundreds of his supporters in ward to-ward campaign received handful numbers of PDP members who relinquished their memberships to APC in Delta State.

Omo-Agege disclosed that chieftains of the ruling party in the state, PDP, are every day dumping the party for APC in Delta State.

“I have good news for Deltans, in the days ahead precisely from now till the weekend there will be a political tsunami in Delta State People Democratic Party, PDP.”
