I won 2023 presidential election, says Obi

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, on February 25, 2023, presidential election in Nigeria, Mr Peter Obi has said that he won the election but was robbed of his mandate by the corrupt politicians in the country.

Obi while addressing a World Press Conference in Abuja on Thursday afternoon said the conduct of the 2023 presidential election lacked the minimum standard expected of a free, fair, transparent and credible election.

He described the presidential election as “a staged election for supposedly free, fair and credible presidential and National Assembly elections”.

He disclosed that he will through the Court prove to the world that Labour Party won the February 25 presidential election saying the election “will go down in history as the most controversial election ever conducted in Nigeria.

“The good and hardworking Nigerians have again been robbed by our supposed leaders whom they trusted. However, let me humbly and most respectfully appeal to Nigerians to remain peaceful, law-abiding and conduct themselves in the most responsible manner.

“Please, be assured that Datti and I and indeed all of us … this is not the end but the beginning of the journey of the birth of a new Nigeria.”

Peter Obi had begun the World Press Conference by calling for a one-minute silence to be observed for all those who lost their lives in the electioneering process and a quick recovery for those who were injured or attacked during the process.
