One of the aspirants in the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator James Manager, says he has no case in court against one of the aspirants that participated in the primary held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
Though Senator Manager who represents Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly did not mention the name of the affected PDP governorship aspirant in his post on Friday evening on his official Facebook page, Senator James Manager, a dependable source told NewsNet Nigeria that the long-serving senator was reacting to rumour particularly being circulated in the social media that he sued Olorogun David Edevbie to court over his National Youth Service Corps certificate.
Edevbie was among the aspirants that took part in the gubernatorial primary which was conducted at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, the state capital.
Distancing himself from the rumour which he termed as fake, Senator Manager wrote below:
I want to react to a trending story on a section of the media that I initiated a court case against one of the PDP governorship aspirants in Delta State. The purported story sponsored by well-known political merchants is a cesspool of lies and a journalism junkyard from where stories are fabricated against leading political lights. it is another desperate attempt to drag my humble self into the mud-sliding and regrettable- avoidable political quagmire we all find ourselves in Delta PDP today.
May God not allow those who are inside and outside PDP who have all used its platform to acquire the big names they have today to destroy it.
May that day never come, AMEN!
