After nine months Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State reconstituted the State Executive Council in his second tenure, he on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, reappointed former Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt Hon Funkekeme Solomon as his Senior Political Adviser.
Funkekeme Solomon was among those affected by the May 18, 2021, dissolution of the State Executive Council by Okowa.
On June 17, 2021, and July 17, 2021, the governor appointed the first and second batches of civil commissioners that will work with him in the remaining part of his second tenure.
The commissioners comprising new and old ones were subsequently sworn into office on July 2, 2021, and July 28, 2021.
In a statement on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Patrick Ukah, the governor also approved the appointment of Mr Austine Ayemidejor, Chief Emmanuel Izuegbunem Onyeuku and Mr Darlington Nnamdi ljeh as Special Advisers.
According to the statement, the date for the inauguration of the appointees will be announced in due course.
