The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Amb. Sir Felix Ideh has intensified the campaign for the victory of the Atiku/Okowa presidential ticket, saying that the PDP administration would fast-track development in all parts of the country.
Speaking to a cross-section of party faithful from Oluchi unit, Amachai Quarters in Okpanam, Amb. Ideh said that Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had transformed Okpanam community with several roads and other infrastructure such as the establishment of Oluchi Secondary School and the mini stadium among others.
Amb. Sir Ideh stated that in politics, there was the need for those in positions of authority to represent the interests of their people, adding that when the party wins the presidential and other elections, Delta State and Okpanam in particular will benefit massively.
He told residents of the community that the best way to appreciate Senator Okowa was to use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs ) to vote for Atiku and Okowa and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming February 25 and March 11 elections.
The Governor’s aide, who said that Okpanam was in a strategic location for development, hinted that more roads had been awarded for construction work to commence, even as he stated that the State Government would tackle the issue of gully erosion at Igwogwo River, in Amachai, Ugwu Anikpa in Ogbeozoma and the Vanguard/Iyiami stream in Obodogwugwu on the Asaba/Benin Expressway.
While urging them to convince their friends in other parties to identify with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Amb. Sir Felix Ideh lauded the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah for his contributions to the growth and development of Okpanam.
Earlier, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Mobilisation, Lady Anthonia Chukwuedo urged women in the area to be active in politics, stressing that they should be forceful so that they could be recognised and empowered.
Lady Chukwuedo, who is the Welfare Director of Ned Campaign Organisation, said that women were gifted with the power to influence people on their choice of who to vote for in any election, noting that PDP remained the only party that would drive the nation to the part of recovery and restoration.
