One-time Secretary to State Government, SSG, in Delta, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has bowed out of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Macaulay, also a former member of the State Executive Council under the administration of ex-Governor James Ibori announced his resignation from the PDP in a dated 4th March, 2023, and addressed to the PDP Chairman for ward 5 Owhelogbo in Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

The former chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Delta State chapter in the resignation letter accused the leadership of the party “of impunity, blackmail, falsehood and disregard for party rules”.

He wrote below:

I wish to humility tender my letter of resignation from the membership of the Peoples Democratic Patty (PDP) in ward 5 Owhelogbo Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State with immediate effect.

The decision to resign my membership of the PDP is based on the overt exhibition of impunity, blackmail, falsehood and disregard for Party rules by the leadership.

Over the past years, I painfully endured the arrogance and misdemeanor of the
Party leadership and actually appealed for a change to no avail.

Thus I am left with no choice but to bow out of the Party.
