Ex-secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Nick Ovuakporie, has stepped up his mobilization of the people of Isoko North Local Government Area of the state to vote for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 25 and March 11, 2023, general elections.
Ovuakporie, who is from Oyede Ward 12 in Isoko North was officially received into the fold of the PDP in Delta State on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, when the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, campaigned at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
Since joining the PDP, the former State APC scribe was at the weekend issued his PDP membership card by his Ward 12 chairman, Mr Joel Orute, during which he affirmed his resolve to work to ensure the victory of the presidential Alhaji Atiku Abubakar/Ifeanyi Okowa presidential ticket and the Sheriff Oborevwori/Monday Onyeme governorship ticket in Isoko North LGA.
He pledged to deliver his unit 005 and Ward for the PDP that is poised to rescue, resuscitate and reposition and get Nigeria’s economy working again.
“With the way the country is now, nobody needs a soothsayer to tell him or her that APC should be voted out of power at the federal and state levels in the 2023 general polls.
“The votes of Isoko nation I can assure you will certainly go in favour of the PDP in the elections to put a halt to the abject poverty, insecurity and other myriads of challenges inflicted on Nigerians and Nigeria in the past eight years of APC misrule of the country,” said Ovuakporie.
The formal registration and issuance of the PDP membership card to Nick Ovuakporie were graced by the Isoko North Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Deacon Christian Iteire, Elder Emego, Comrade Nathaniel Akemu Ovedhe, PDP Campaign co-ordinator Oyede Ward 12, Hon. Albert Ipori, women leaders, youths, the entire Oyede Ward 12 PDP executive led by the Ward Chairman, Mr Joel Orute, grassroots party leaders and hundreds of party faithful amongst others.
