Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has reappointed Chief Ebikeme Clark as Special Adviser, four weeks after he dissolved the State Executive Council including Special Advisers, the Secretary to State Government, Political Adviser and Chief of Staff.
Ebikeme’s reappointment was announced on Wednesday in a statement signed by the new Secretary to the Delta State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah.
Ebikeme, a former Chairman of Burutu Local Government returned along four other Deltans as Special Advisers after weeks of political uncertainty surrounding the unprecedented action of the Governor who hinged part of his decision to carry out the dissolution on some distractions in his government arising from the interest of some of his appointees in the 2023 governorship election.
In a chat with newsmen in Warri, when the news of his reappointment filter in Chief Ebikeme commended Dr Okowa for remaining focused in his determined effort to achieve a Stronger Delta.
The governor he emphasised has always upheld fairness, equity and justice in his governance of the state.
Ebikeme expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for once again finding him worthy to contribute his quota to the realisation of the SAMRT DELTA AGENDA.
The Ijaws of Delta he assured are solidly behind Okowa for his laudable development efforts in the riverine parts of the state.
Ebikeme, therefore, prayed God to continue to grant Okowa good health and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to the envy of other states.
