Don’t bow to Leo Ogor and his cohort – Isoko group urges Okowa

Leo Ogor

His Excellency,
Sen. (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa
Executive Governor, Delta state.
Sir,

AS THE SEARCH FOR COUNCIL BOSS IN ISOKO NORTH RAGES

Compliments of the season. It is extremely imperative that we write to you at this time out of our love for your person and concern for the continued existence of the People’s Democratic Party in Isoko North.

This letter is intended to be brief, without technicalities and straight to the point.

It is indeed a tough time to be the Chief Executive of the state as plots to replace the outgoing council boss thickens with possible replacements flying from all political blocs.

In light of this, we implore you not to give in to the usual characteristics of the trio of Rt. Hon. Leo Ogor, Hon. Tim Owhefere and Godwin Ogorugba which is deception and blackmail. The people have rejected them.

While we sympathize with Leo Ogor over his health challenges, it is morally and practically wrong for him to continue to blackmail the people into falling for his gimmicks this time with his ill health. The welfare of the people should be the overriding interest in your final decision.

As for Hon. Tim Owhefere and Godwin Ogorugba, these are serial betrayals who will surely abandon your ship for the next available one in 2023. Be reminded of how your successor was roundly betrayed by the very people who shed crocodile tears before him to nominate their men under similar circumstances.

Our charge to you is to jettison the names from the various blocs and reach out personally to a youth who has exemplified himself in loyalty to your person and performance for the people. He is closer to you, even among the minority clans, if only you will take a break and look beyond the political shenanigans of those jostling for your attention right now.

By doing this, you would have fulfilled your promise of nominating a youth for the chairmanship position as well as safeguarding the interest and that of the party in Isoko north in 2023.

Lastly, you would have successfully averted the chaos and violent protest which will erupt if any bloc is perceived to have prevailed against another especially that of Leo’s.
