A major contender for the chairmanship position of Ughelli North Local Government Council in Delta State, Rtn Fidelis Adjogbe has applauded the peaceful and rancour-free emergence of Olorogun Jaro Egbo as the Ughelli North consensus chairmanship flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the July 13, 2024, local government elections in the state.
Adjogbe while speaking to newsmen shortly today Saturday, May 25, 2024, after Egbo’s affirmation by Ughelli North PDP delegates, elders, leaders, party executive and other stakeholders, said his wide acceptance and endorsement attest to his capacity and competence to take over the mantle of leadership of Ughelli North Council.
“Olorogun Jaro Egbo is a trusted and committed stakeholder of the PDP in Ughelli North and Delta State. His emergence today through consensus and affirmation would further unite and strengthen the PDP in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
“I do not doubt in my mind that Olorogun Jaro Egbo will do excellently well when he becomes the next chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council. He has the needed experience having served in different positions at the state and national levels,” said Adjogbe.
Fidelis Adjogbe who was a Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the immediate past governor of Delta State noted that with the Delta PDP affirmation primaries for the forthcoming local government elections over it is now time for members of the PDP family in Ughelli North to close ranks to ensure total victory for the party in the July 13 polls.
“I sue for total mobilisation and support for Olorogun Jaro Egbo at the polls, especially from the other chairmanship aspirants. For, I had accepted and declared my support for his candidacy as well as collapsed my entire campaign structure into his Hi-Voltage structure for resounding victory at the polls,” Adjogbe added.
