Hon Emeka Emmanuel Nwaobi, who represents Aniocha North Constituency in the Delta State House Assembly has sent a congratulatory message to the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his emergence as the governorship flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the party’s gubernatorial primary held yesterday Wednesday in Asaba, the state capital.
Oborevwori victory at the primary with overwhelming delegates’ votes of 597 has lent credence to Nwaobi as the man that saw tomorrow.
Nwaobi had while speaking on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, during a plenary of the Delta State House of Assembly enjoined his colleagues to support Oborevwori in his bid to become the next governor of the state.
He told them that his spirit tells him that the Speaker is the next Governor and called on Deltans to support him so that he can continue from where the state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will stop in 2023.
With Oborevwori clinching the PDP governorship ticket for the 2023 general elections, the process of him succeeding Okowa has just begun as predicted by Nwaobi.
Meanwhile, the Aniocha North lawmaker on Sunday, May 22, 2022, won the PDP House of Assembly ticket for him to return to the House for a third term if he emerges victorious in the 2023 general elections.
