The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has described as unintelligent, provocative and wishy washy statements made few days by the Chairman, Delta State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, to  disparage the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, over his recent defection from the PDP to the APC.

Olorogun Esiso was reported to have vowed to make Senator Nwaoboshi politically irrelevant with a crushing defeat in 2023 general elections, if he contest.

The Delta PDP chairman was said to have made the boost while receiving some defectors from APC, African Democratic Party (ADP) and Democratic Alliance (DA) in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state at a civic reception organised by the Okpanam people in honour of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Patrick Ukah who hails from the town.

“Your father trained you in school from primary to university, and after 21 years, you decide to fight your father, will you succeed?

“PDP made Nwaoboshi Special Adviser, Commissioner, party chairman and now Senator, yet he is ungrateful. We are waiting for him, we will crush him,” Esiso was quoted to have said.

However, the APC in Delta in a very strong worded reaction contained in statement by the State Chairman Caretaker Committee, Prophet Jones Ode Erue warned Olorogun Kingsley Esiso to be mindful of his utterances which have further exposed the instability of his mental health and low intellectual prowess.

The party described Esiso, whose statement it said was understandably made out of frustration by a party Chairman losing high profile members to the All Progressives Congress (APC), and someone with identity crisis who is also experiencing great personal conflict that questions who he truly is and his responsibilities as a State party Chairman.

“The party is shocked at the undignified posturing of Kingsley Afejuku from Sapele whose nomenclature changed to Kingsley Esiso from Ethiope East in order to gain relevance and the Chairmanship position of PDP, is still able to appear in public and make boisterous, shameless, and reckless statements against a sitting Senator representing the good people of Delta North senatorial district during the reception organized in honour of the SSG on a weekday. This only confirms the idleness and docility of the-Okowa administration.”

Continuing the APC in the statement described Kingsley Esiso as Okowa’s domestic aide and puppet who has abdicated his official responsibilities as Delta PDP Chairman and his office for the VIP lodge of the Government House Asaba, where he lives and is being teleguided while the PDP under his leadership gradually goes into extinction.

“Senator Peter Nwaoboshi was not the reason for the PDP Chairman and Governor Okowa’s regular nightmares which have continued to put them in a convulsive mood.

“Rather, it is the PDP government’s innumerable abysmal failures and atrocities committed against the people of the State, that are hunting them daily as such, Senator Nwaoboshi should be left alone to concentrate on his mandate to his constituents in Delta North.

“The APC notes that the statement credited to Kingsley Esiso calling Senator Peter Nwaoboshi ungrateful is misleading, reckless and made out of ignorance having regards to the incontrovertible facts that save for Senator Nwaoboshi, Okowa wouldn’t have been governor.

“It is on records, that Senator Peter Nwaoboshi fought hard at the expense of his life to make Dr. Okowa a governor who today, has shown disrespect and ingratitude to his benefactors. This is contrary to the wrong narratives of the PDP and it’s jittery administrator who has become agitated having realized, that their days in government house Asaba are numbered.”

The party therefore advised the Delta PDP Chairman whose outburst it calls reckless and unbecoming of an empty vessel, to worry more about the diminishing returns of the affairs of his party in the State which he has run aground with no achievements to showcase to the good people of Delta State other than his mansion in Sapele.

It reminded the Delta PDP Chairman of the leadership qualities of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi during his days as PDP Chairman and the prudence he employed in managing party resources that saw PDP local government Chairmen across the State having official vehicles and paid monthly salaries to maintain their respective offices.

The APC cautioned the PDP government and the State Chairman to leave Senator Peter Nwaoboshi alone and start preparations for a life outside government in 2023, ahead of the devastating electoral defeat awaiting the PDP.
