‘Collins Eselemor The Mad Dog’, Pa Clark’s son thunders back

Chief Ebikeme Clark, son of elder statesman, Pa. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark has slammed Prince Collins Eselemor, the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency for unwarranted attacks on his father describing him as a ‘mad dog’.

Prince Eselemor who until recently was a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in an interview with The Union Nigeria published on Monday, July 25, 2022, termed as despotic and excruciating Pa. Clark’s endorsement of the governorship aspiration of the APC candidate in Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

He also amongst others claimed that Pa. Clark is not popular and has no electoral value because his own son, Ebikeme Clark was impeached while as chairman of Burutu Local Government as well as failed the contest for Burutu Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

Reacting to Eselemor’s attacks, Chief Ebikeme Clark, who is the Special Adviser on Housing Development to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in what he tagged “COLLINS ESELEMOR THE MAD DOG” said “Pa E. K. Clark is my father and father to the Ijaw people and other Nigerians. They call him National Leader on their own because of his antecedents and what he has done for the people in the areas of infrastructural development, empowerment and scholarships.

“You know he was very close to your father and gave him employment. You are a clear departure from what your father stood for. You always take on Pa E. K. Clark so that you can be famous, it is likened to slapping your father at the market square and your friends will hail you but the same friends will mock you at your back as a mad man. You are not even at my level and you dare malign Pa E. K. Clark. I want to assure you that you will always get a response from me anytime you travel recklessly.

“If you can insult a personality such as Alaowei Brodricks Bozimo (a former Minister for Police Affairs) who is our father and leader and who is your maternal family head you can insult anybody. You are known to attack people with little or no provocation under the guise of being a mad man.”

Continuing, Ebikeme Clark took a swipe at the NNPP House of Representatives candidate for not being properly educated hence he lacks understanding of the workings of the local government system in Nigeria.

“You would have learned about the procedure for the impeachment of a Local Government Chairman. I would like you to show proof of my impeachment as a Local Government Chairman. I am not the first to contest an election and fail and would not be the last,” said Ebikeme Clark.

He accused Eselemor of working against his new political party and of being a serial election contestant for the purpose of getting settled by his opponents.

“You can refer to President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Have you ever won an election? You have failed all the elections you have contested all in different political parties. Have you represented your people at the ward level or at any other level?

“Do you have electoral value? You claim to be the candidate of NNPP for the 2023 elections and you are supporting Olorogun David Edevbie. The last time I checked Olorogun David Edevbie is a member of the PDP. I know you are doing this because you are looking for money. You talk of anti-party and you know you are a champion on that. I urge the NNPP to immediately discipline you for your anti-party activities after reading your interview.

“It is common knowledge to the Ijaw people that you contest elections not to win but for the sake that your opponents settle you. They have always refused to settle you before the elections or after the elections when you go to court because they know that you are not electable. The one for 2023 will not be different. No Governor in Delta state has ever considered giving you an appointment because they know you will end up embarrassing them.

“What kind of a human being are you. I want to remind you of the 50,000 Naira, I made sure you got it when I was Chairman out of pity because you said you could not pay your bills. The Ijaw people know who is the serial blackmailer for money and who has now switched trade to contesting elections for settlement. I thought as you grow older you would change but you remained true to type,” Ebikeme Clark blast Collins Eselemor.
