The immediate past Executive Director Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Cairo Ojougboh has reacted to a report credited to the Editor of Secret Reporters popularly known as Fejiro Oliver, saying that it is an attempt to cause disaffection.
Fejiro Oliver had in his online medium, Secret Reporters alleged that the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the NDDC was sacked because of a rift between the Executive Director Finance and Administration (now the Sole Administrator) Mr Effiong Akwa and Dr. Cairo Ojougboh.
However, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Sir Gabriel Choba, Dr Ojougboh debunked the report saying that it was because the IMC refused to approve contract payments for him having verified that his (Fejiro) Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) are Fake and the NDDC is no longer as it use to be; hence he has continued with his full-blown blackmail against him (Ojougboh).
Ojougboh in the statement said, “This is an attempt to cause disaffection. Dr. Cairo Ojougboh is very thankful to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and Senator God’swill Akpabio for giving (Ojougboh) the opportunity to serve. And I am irrevokably committed to supporting the Sole Administratorship of Mr Effiong Akwa.
“Therefore, any attempt to cause confusion or smear campaign against the person of the Sole Administrator, Effiong Akwa will be highly resisted. The forensic audit must be completed because the commission is moving forward.
“Niger Deltans should continue to support the forensic audit under the supervision of Senator God’swill Akpabio to deliver,” the former NDDC EDP appealed.
