APC NWC confirms resignation of Adamu, Omisore

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has confirmed the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and the National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore.

At the meeting of the NWC on Monday in Abuja, the Deputy National Chairman (North) of APC, Senator Abubakar Kyari, emerged as the party’s National Chairman while the APC Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter, will serve as the acting National Secretary.

Kyari who confirmed the resignation of both national officers while briefing newsmen after the NWC meeting said Adamu and Omisore voluntarily resigned.

He, however, added that the reasons for their resignation will be made known in the near future.

Adamu was absent from the NWC meeting on Monday while Omisore stormed out of the meeting held at the party secretariat in Abuja.

Kyari, who represented Borno North Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, presided over the APC NWC meeting.
