Barely 48 hours to its primary election in Abuja, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors from the north have asked President Muhammadu Buhari to pick a southern presidential hopeful when considering his successor.
The governors released a statement to this effect after a meeting on Saturday.
They asked the northern presidential hopefuls to withdraw from the race in national interest.
Meanwhile, President Buhari is currently meeting with Presidential aspirants of the All Progressives Congress, at the State House, Abuja.
Buhari, who returned from an ECOWAS extraordinary summit hours ago, will be meeting at least 23 recognised Presidential hopefuls. (THE PRECISION)
