A former Delta State House of Assembly aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sir Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe has declared that the APC in Delta Central has made a resounding political statement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after a high-powered unity meeting of APC leaders in Delta Central held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Ughelli, Sir Adjogbe stated that the district’s adoption of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as consensus candidates for the 2027 elections was “irrevocable.”
Describing the gathering as “a convergence of political nobles in Urhobo land,” Adjogbe said it signified the beginning of a new era of political dominance by the APC in Delta Central and across the state.
“The APC in Delta Central is more united than ever,” Adjogbe noted.
He stated further “Under the mantra of Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E Agenda, we are speaking with one voice. This unity has undoubtedly sent shockwaves to any opposition preparing for the 2027 polls.”
The meeting was described by participants as a strategic alignment of political forces poised to reposition the APC as the dominant party in Delta State.
According to observers, the rare alignment of both state and federal appointees, elected officials, and community leaders under one political umbrella could significantly reshape the 2027 political landscape in the oil-rich state.
