The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agbarha Ward, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, has resolved to work in unity under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
This resolution was part of an eight-point communiqué adopted at the end of the ward’s unity meeting held over the weekend at Agbarha Town Hall in Agbarha-Otor Kingdom.
The well-attended gathering brought together ward/unit chairmen, party leaders, and former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members who recently joined the APC.
Leading figures, including the Ward Chairman, Chief David Ohwoekevwo, Prof. Samuel Ibodje, Olorogun Terry Noah, Hon. Charles Oniyere, Chief Christabel Obiuwevbi, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, and Hon. Matthew Omonade, emphasised the need for collective effort and unity to advance the party’s fortunes in the ward.
In the adopted resolutions, the stakeholders agreed to work in unity under the ward executive led by Chief Ohwoekevwo and under the state leadership of Rt. Hon. Oborevwori.
They passed a vote of confidence in both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, pledging continued support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
The motion, moved by Hon. John Idogun, seconded by Hon. Collins Arhiakpore, and affirmed by Hon. Charles Oniyere, was unanimously adopted.
The leaders also resolved that all members, whether old or new, will enjoy equal rights and privileges within the party.
Furthermore, they committed to working harmoniously with the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, and to holding regular ward executive and leaders’ meetings to strengthen the party structure.
