Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has denied plans to support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023 general elections.
Umar Sani, a former senior special adviser on media and publicity to vice president Namadi Sambo, revealed that the former governor of Rivers State and senior member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), reportedly stated that as a devout Catholic, he cannot support the APC’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.
“I am happy to report that PDP has won the state of Rivers thanks to Amaechi, who declared that he is a Catholic and will not support a Muslim-Muslim ticket. He is going to back the PDP.
Sani had remarked, “If there is anyone who can match Wike madness for madness, boxing for boxing, it is Amaechi.”
Amaechi responded to that assertion by denying it and calling him a complete lie.
He is deceiving. The former Minister was quoted as saying, “There was never any time I said anything like that.
