Ominimini noted that his passion has always been to have avenues through which he can offer effective and purposeful leadership to his people.

He pledged to consult widely in order to have the support of delegates to the APC senatorial primary to emerge as the party’s flag bearer in the 2023 general elections.

Ominimini, a former Project Director and Commissioner on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, said, “Giving the pedigree of the people I see here today, I want to say I have listened to your voice and I have accepted. “There are yardsticks with which a legislator can be measured in terms of performance. One is constituency outreach. Be rest assured that if given the opportunity to serve as the Senator representing the Urhobo people of Delta Central at the Red Chamber, constituency outreach shall be very, very rampant.

“In fact, take it home that every quarter of the year your Senator by the grace of God, Ominimini Obiuwevbi will always come and consult with the Urhobo people of Delta Central; where I shall take the feedback to the Red Chamber.

“Another instrument through which a legislator can be measured is your performance at the plenary. If given the opportunity, if I stand in the Red Chamber, Urhobo people will know that they have a son in Abuja.

“Three is oversight function. All of this put together, Urhobo people will know that they have a representative at the Red Chamber.

“The interest of the Urhobo people shall be in my heart every time, every day. And by the grace of God coupled with people like you behind me, success shall be our position.
