PDP supporter dumps Okowa for not rewarding loyalty
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LinkedinShare on Whatsapp

Another die-hard supporter of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Comrade Timothy Ogheneovo Timothy has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Comrade Timothy is a very strong youthful believer in the OKOWABILITY PROJECT from Ward 6(10), Kokori Inland in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state.

But all his believe and support for Okowa and the PDP have turned soured following what he described as the governor’s penchant for not rewarding “those who believed so much in him and are still loyal to him after 7 years as the Executive Governor of Delta State, are neglected, but appointments/political patronage are freely thrown to those who fight against him”.

In a letter he personally signed and dated August 22, 2022, titled “LETTER OF EXIT FROM DR OKOWA POLITICAL FAMILY/THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP)”, Comrade Timothy wrote below:

It is with a heavy heart that I inform the general public of my exit from the Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa’s Political family and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

It is imperative I take this bold, but painful exit because after supporting Senator Okowa who was then one of the Delta State PDP gudernatorial aspirant to when he became the Party’s Gubernatorial candidate and finally emerging as the Executive Governor of Delta State in 2015, no recognition or reward was given to some people who have been loyal to the OKOWABILITY PROJECT, in spite of the rejection some of us got from our people ror supporting Sen. Okowa as he was then.

I am not speaking tor myself alone, but against the system Okowa created where those who believed so much in him and are still loyal to him after 7 years as the Executive Governor of Delta State are neglected, but appointments/political
patronage are freely thrown to thise who fight against him.

Governor Okowa knows those he loves, but does not know those who love him
and he is not interested in knowing those who love him.

By his actions it is suggestive that even if you sacrifice yourself for him to ascend a higher ground the status quo remains because he had already created a system where loyalty is not rewarded.

It is very oblivious to anyone that there are factions in Delta State PDP and any faction you do not support becomes your political enemy within the party first before facing other political parties.

To this end l wish to appreciate everyone who in one way or the other supported me while we chatted the OKOWABILITY MANTRA, you remain dear to my heart.
