Partner with Oborevwori – Alex Oyoro urges Omo-Agege, others

A founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Prince Alex Oyoro, has asked the governorship candidates of three political parties whose appeals against Governor Sheriff Oborevwori were dismissed by the Supreme Court to join hands with him to fast-track development in the oil-rich Niger Delta State.

Recall that a five-member panel of the apex court on Friday, January 19, 2023, declared Oborevwori as the duly elected governor in March 18, 2023, governorship election after dismissing the appeals filed against Oborevwori by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Ken Pela of the Labour Party (LP).

Oyoro, a native of Ogor community in Ughelli North Local Government Area in a statement electronically sent to NewsNet Nigeria noted that the court cases instituted against Governor Oborevwori were capable of distracting from his focus of fulfilling his MORE agenda to Deltans.

He expressed delight that Oborevwori triumphed over the court cases including the pre-election cases all amounting to 38 cases as the fifth elected governor of Delta State.

“Now that the Court battle is over, it is time for every hand to be on Deck to build a new and prosperous Delta State.

“As a “Warri Boy” which Gov Sheriff Oborevwori, Sen. OVIE OMO-AGEGE, Kenneth Gbagi and Ken Pela are also, it’s not by accident that they contested amongst themselves but by a special design of Almighty God.

“Since individually, they have a blueprint to make Delta State a great State, I employ the three contestants to join hands with the Governor to turn Delta State into the Switzerland and Eldorado of modern day. I also call on Deltans at home and diaspora to come home to join hands with an original homeboy like Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to industrialise and develop our State,” said Oyoro.
