The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has bagged an award of excellence from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

The award was conferred on him by the President of CAN, His Eminence, Dr Samson Supo Ayokunle, in recognition of his invaluable contributions and as an ideal Christian in the Nigerian Political Space and Governance.

In a congratulatory message, the Director of Publicity of the Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba Nick Ovuakporie, said the award, among other meritorious awards, is well deserved owing to the DSP’s tremendous efforts at repositioning the APC in Delta State and the nation at large.

“We are proud to have His Excellency (DSP) as our leader in whose leadership we are committed to, especially with his enormous sacrifices invested towards impacting on the lives of the downtrodden.

“Your Excellency, we are not only thanking you for being our leader but we are well pleased with your style of leadership which we wholeheartedly believe will transform the state and lead us to the promised land”

“As His Excellency always assures, the award, we know, will spur him to work harder, ginger him to make sure the belief the entire Christian community has in him translates to human capital development to the glory of God,” said Ovuakporie in the statement.
