Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has reassured Deltans that his administration would always remain committed to the development of the state and ensuring the well being of all Deltans in line with the SMART Agenda.

The Governor stated this while inaugurating some projects executed by his administration in Ethiope West Local Government Area.

While commissioning the Onosa Amagiya/Mission road in Jesse, the Governor said his administration would continue on the good work of developing the state to finish strong.

Also in Oghara while commissioning the ultra-modern market at Oghara Junction, Edjemuoyavwe, Okowa noted that what gladdens his heart most was to see the women happy by ensuring their welfares adding that the building of the ultra-modern market was part of giving the women joy.

At the commissioning of the Ogini Grammar School, Ogharefe, which the Governor renamed as Ogini Modern College, he appreciated the contractors and the people of the locality for creating an enabling atmosphere for the execution of the projects.

He said he was overwhelmed that the Ogini Modern College project was started by his predecessor and was completed and commissioned in his administration, saying that the type of the Ogini Modern College projects was up to twelve in the state with nine completed and commissioned.

He urged the people of the area and the students of Ogini Modern College to make good use of the infrastructures.

While appreciating the Governor for the laudable projects commissioned, the Ethiope West Local Government Chairman, Hon. Oghenedoro Owoso said the projects would enhance the progress and development of the council area.

Owoso expressed gratitude to the state Governor for initiating and successfully completing the projects in record time.

He noted that the projects would bridge the gap in infrastructural deficit of the local government area.

The Chairman on behalf of the Idjerhe people pleaded with the Governor to look into the construction of the old Okuode road including the access road leading to the palace of the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom as well as wade into the lingering light issue in Mosogar.
