Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State on Thursday nominated Mr Akarakeme Ebikeme Orubebe junior for appointment as a member of the governing board of Warri-Uvwie and Environs Special Areas Development Agency.

The letter forwarding the name of the nominee to the Delta State House of Assembly was read at plenary by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

The Governor in the letter explained that the nomination of Mr Akarakeme Ebikeme Orubebe junior for appointment as a member of the governing board of Warri- Uvwie Development Agency was as a result of the vacancy created by the exit of Chief Pereotu Oloye as a member of the governing board.

Okowa in the letter to the House stated that in the exercise of the powers coffered on him by section 4, subsection 2a of the law establishing the Agency, he was nominating Mr Orubebe as a replacement for Chief Oloye and screening and confirmation of the appointment by the State Assembly.

Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori subsequently directed the nominee to forward 35 copies of his curriculum vitae to the House on or before Monday next week and appear for screening on Tuesday.
