Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday approved the appointment of the Vice-Chancellors for the three new universities in Delta State.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Chiedu Ebie, named Prof. Ben Emukufia Akpoyamere Oghojafor as the Vice-Chancellor of Denis Osadebey University Anwai Asaba, Prof. (Mrs.) Stella Chinye Chiemeke as Vice-Chancellor of University of Agbor and Prof. Jacob Snapps Oboreh, Vice-Chancellor of University of Science and Technology, Ozoro.
The appointments according to the statement are with immediate effect.
Governor Okowa in recent weeks did not only establish the three new universities in order to meet the high demands by Deltans for university education but, also secured the approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the universities.
