Engr. Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua, a Director, Delta State Office of the
Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has stepped in as the acting Managing Director of the oil commission.
Audu-Ohwavborua’s letter of appointment dated October 20, 2022, was signed by Umana Okon Umana on behalf of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
The letter read below:
“President Mohammadu Buhari has approved the disengagement of the
Interim Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission
(NDDC) with effect from Thursday. October 20, 2022.
“President Buhari has further approved that the most senior director in the
commission should take over and perform the duties of the managing
director in acting capacity in line with the provision of the extant Federal
Government Circular Ref No. SGF.50/S. I/C.2/268.
“Accordingly, you are by this letter directed to take up and perform the duties of the Managing Director pending the appointment of a substantive managing director and members of the Governing Board of the Commission.”
