Senate Ad-Hoc Committee investigating ongoing crude oil theft in the Niger Delta has announced new dates for its postponed public hearing.
Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, Chairman of the Committee, stated on Saturday that the hearing has been rescheduled following the Senate’s shift in resumption from April 29 to May 6, 2025.
The two-day hearing will now take place on Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Senate Conference Room 022, Senate New Building, National Assembly Complex, Abuja. Proceedings will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
Stakeholders are requested to submit 35 hard copies and one soft copy of their memoranda to the Committee Secretariat in Room 2.2 (White House, Senate) no later than Thursday, May 15.
The Committee apologised for any inconvenience caused by the schedule change and thanked stakeholders for their continued cooperation.
It urged members of the public to share credible information on illegal oil bunkering, with assurances that such contributions will be valued and rewarded.
