A portrait of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will be unveiled on Sunday, November 5, 2023, by the management of D’ Gallery Sports Bar in Effurun, headquarters of Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

D’Gallery Sports Bar is a new arm of Hotel Julioo, situated on the popular Airport Road, Effurun and owned by a Warri-based industrialist and hospitality guru, Prince Julius Obelikpeyah.

Prince Julius Obelikpeyah, fondly called Julius Obels is renowned for his immense contributions to the hospitality industry in Delta State especially nightlife in the Warri area.

This he did after the infamous Warri crisis with the establishment of the prestigious Revolution Night Club located on Effurun/Sapele Road opposite Our Ladies School.

Giving insights on the idea behind the setting up of D’Gallery Sports Bar and the planned unveiling of a portrait of the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and notable names across the globe, Julius Obes told NewsNet Nigeria that he was inspired to once again invest in improving the nightlife in the Warri area following the assurances of the governor to get Warri/Effurun working again.

He cited the commitment of Governor Oborevwori to tackle headlong the menace of kidnapping and other security challenges hampering the rejuvenation of the once booming nightlife in the Warri area and the recent signing of the contract between the Delta State Government and Julius Berger for the construction of Flyovers, Cloverleaf, and Road Expansion Projects in Effurun and Warri.

“D’Gallery Sports Bar is coming up with the promises and the assurance we have gotten from the Governor that things will work again. That we will not invest and go back home crying. The Governor knows my capacity in entertainment issues.

“From what we can see in terms of the huge development he (Governor) is putting up in Warri, we are reinvesting because we believe he will keep to his promises.

“He (Governor) has given assurance with the kind of contract he has just signed now with Julius Berger, most Deltans, most Warri boys we should go back home and sleep and be assured of Warri waking up. And nightlife also waking up. The man is a guy man and a typical Warri man so he knows exactly the pains of the people and what Warri is facing now.

“D’Gallery Sports Bar, I am proud to put his portrait there to be unveiled on Sunday, November 5, 2023, because I know the Governor will not let us down. With the Governor we can go to the back and even collect money to invest,” said Julius Obels, who is also a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Warri South Local Government Area.
