Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has lauded the visionary and unifying leadership of His Royal Majesty, Pere Couple Markson Oromoni, Monbene III, the Pere Ama-Okosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, as the monarch marks a decade on the throne.

Speaking on Friday at the 10th coronation anniversary celebration of the revered traditional ruler, the Governor, who was represented by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, described the monarch’s reign as a remarkable period of peace, progress, and development for the kingdom and the state at large.

Governor Oborevwori said over the past ten years, the Pere of Ogbe-Ijoh has demonstrated “exceptional leadership characterised by extraordinary acumen, wisdom, and allegiance to the well-being of his people,” noting that his reign has strengthened unity among the people and fostered mutual understanding with neighbouring communities.

“Your Royal Majesty, your visionary leadership has brought us to this milestone, and we have confidence in your ability to navigate the complexities of the future. Like previous administrations, this government will continue to work with you to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and create a more prosperous and harmonious Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom,” Oborevwori assured.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting traditional institutions, improving socio-economic indicators, and promoting inclusive growth across Delta State.

“We should embrace our diversity and leverage our collective strengths and talents to drive growth and development. As we celebrate this 10th anniversary of resilience, strength, determination, and progress, we are reminded of the enduring spirit of unity and cooperation among Deltans,” he added.
