Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to three eminent Deltans, Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo; Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN; and elder statesman and former Minister of Police Affairs, Alaowei Broderick Bozimo, on the occasion of their respective birth anniversaries.
In separate congratulatory messages issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor celebrated the trio for their distinguished service, leadership, and enduring contributions to Delta State and Nigeria.
Congratulating Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo on his 53rd birthday, Governor Oborevwori joined members of the State Legislature, the people of Ethiope East Local Government Area, associates, and the Akpowowo family in celebrating a lawmaker he described as deeply connected to the grassroots.
He praised Akpowowo’s political sagacity, humility, and strong comradeship with the people of Eku community and Ethiope East, noting his steady political growth from his impactful tenure as Commissioner for Urban Renewal to his current role as Deputy Speaker.
The Governor commended Akpowowo’s effective legislative leadership alongside the Speaker, stating that his contributions have positively influenced governance and democratic development in the state.
He wished the Deputy Speaker continued good health, greater fulfilment, and many more years of fruitful service.
Felicitating Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN, on his 56th birth anniversary marked on January 21, Governor Oborevwori described the Aviation Minister as a distinguished legal luminary, astute public servant, and committed patriot.
He lauded Keyamo’s contributions to the growth and repositioning of Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace sector, particularly in strengthening safety standards, improving institutional efficiency, and boosting investor confidence.
The Governor also praised Keyamo’s consistency, courage, and professionalism in public office, as well as his commitment to the growth and unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and nationwide, describing him as a dependable party leader and bridge-builder.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, and wisdom for the Minister as he continues to serve the nation.
In a glowing tribute to Alaowei Broderick Bozimo on his 87th birth anniversary, Governor Oborevwori described the elder statesman as a towering figure in Delta State and national politics whose life has been defined by courage, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service.
He highlighted Bozimo’s impactful tenure as Minister of Police Affairs and his continued relevance as a respected member of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, where his counsel has contributed significantly to peace, unity, and inclusive governance.
The Governor further commended Bozimo’s exemplary leadership among the Ijaw people of Delta State, noting his consistent role as a voice of moderation, dialogue, and development across ethnic and political lines.
He prayed for continued good health, sound mind, and many more years of impactful service to Delta State and Nigeria.
