The All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a seven-man committee to consider and make possible recommendations for a peaceful and harmonious composition of the State Executive Committee for the party’s state congress scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2021.
In a statement on Sunday, the Deputy President of the Senate and Leader, APC South-South, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege said the setting up of the committee was sequel to the series of complaints/petitions arising from the approved zoning of the various party offices of the Delta State Executive Committee by the Delta State Caretaker Committee.
The committee has Senator Peter Nwaboshi as chairman while Hon Stella Okotete will serve as Secretary.
Members of the committee are Hon Halims Agoda, Surv Peter Akarogbe, Comr Austin Oribioye, Barr Gabriel Yabaka and Barr Francis Obigbo.
The Committee is to submit its report on or before the 25th of September, 2021, after which it will be ratified by the Delta State APC caucus on a later date to be communicated before the APC State Congresses.
