Following the heightening tension from the killings a rumour emerged that a curfew has been imposed thereby raising serious concerns about efforts by relevant security agencies to arrest the situation.

The veracity of the imposed curfew has however been debunked by the police in Delta.

In a terse message to NewsNet Nigeria on Thursday night, the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe said, “There is no curfew in Sapele LGA, kindly ignore the rumours making rounds pls.”
