The Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as a leader of inestimable pedigree in whom the party is well pleased.

This party in an independence anniversary commendation statement of Nigeria @ 61, signed by the party’s Director of Publicity, Nick Ovuakporie on behalf of the Chairman, Prophet Jones Ode Erue, eulogised the tremendous sacrifices and refined leadership being provided by Senator Omo-Agege.

This, according to the party has resulted in winning more members to the party in Delta State.

The APC statement described Senator Omo-Agege as a true and worthy party leader with the right energy and commitment deployed towards galvanizing the fortunes of the party as the 2023 general elections inches closer.

“His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Barr Ovie Omo-Agege, the Obarisi of Urhobo-land and leader, APC, Delta State and South-South Nigeria, is a selfless and determined leader whose tenacity in repositioning the party is unshakable and deserves commendation. Undoubtedly, our leader is making us proud and representing us creditably.”

The party described the synergy between Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who recently joined the National Chairman, APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, to receive the newly defected 11 PDP, APGA lawmakers from Anambra State, having dumped their party for the APC, as such that has clearly yielded positive results for the party and a pointer to impending electoral victories in 2023.

Recall, that lawmakers from the PDP and APGA, in a ceremony that had in attendance the National Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, His Excellency, Mai Malam-Buni, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, His Excellencies, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker House of Representatives & Governors Of Imo, Jigawa, Kano, Kebbi and Kogi States, defected to the governing APC ahead of the November Anambra gubernatorial elections.

“We in Delta State chapter of the APC and indeed Delta State in general, believe in your sterling leadership qualities which will be brought to bear in the effective administration of the State upon your election as Governor come 2023.”

The party joins President Muhammadu Buhari, its teeming members across Delta State and Nigerians in celebration of the 61st independence anniversary of our beloved nation, praying God for a more united and prosperous Nigeria.
